French Wedding Gown's Exihibition in Oman

Recenty i got an opportunity to visit the French Oman museum where the exihibition of French wedding gowns from Past 200 years was going on. And the moment i entered i felt like m in a dream, i saw an amazing Jean Charles De Castelbajak’s cotton and tulle white gown created in 2000 . Inside was a gown with bustle back and the most intresting thing was the bridal corset made of satin and supported by whale bones with lace opening in the fornt.

There was a hand crafted folding fan of 1898 also as a part of trousseau. Folding fans became fashionable in France during late 19th century due to the influence of . “Japonism”.

The dresses were like a dream for a person like me with lots of ruches, ruffles, cascades, gathers, busle backs, soft as well as crisp drapes, layers and lots of layers of luxurious fabrics specially silk tulle, teffetas, silks and crepe de chines along with crinolines and corsets. Every dress was as beautiful as a dream that too in a true Couture way. Very impeccable and very very expensive

Then there were some really eye poping creations from the likes of Paul Poiret, Rochas , John Galliano, Chanel, Paco Rabanne,YSL, Cristian Lacroix, Guy Laroche and Jean Paul Gautier Fall/ Winter 2008-09 immortal bridal gown with crinoline veil. A master peice i cound not beleve on my own eyes when i saw it in front of me it was so glamours that i could not stop myself from posing with d dress n get in clicked with that immortal creation frm JPG.

Another gown which i loved was frm Christian Lacroix very very Lacroix u see it n u say it is Lacroix’s version of a bride to be in red colour. And then there was a pair of rhineshine studded shoes frm non other then Louboutin, OMG i was having a look at his shoe closely for the first time, and that red sole n Rhineshine studded heel made me jealous of those all women who shake a booti in their Lubs. It was true glamour the power of Fashion movment for me every thing was very beautiful n very well preserved and presented. “It was true glamour” , not just the clothes ,the jewelles and the shoes but that excitement that French Fashion can produce in u, which is like a dream. And it was like a dream come true to be souurounded by French wedding dresses from past 200 years for more then an hour.

Here are some of those heavenly made creations from the exihibition

And now let’s talk about his gowns- yes gowns oh my my.... Dream come true and classically Oscar they can turn any one in to princes. You will surely see some of them on Red Carpet. Here i present my favrouite pices from his collection.
