The Chambre Syndicale New Members



The Chambre Syndicale in Paris which is kind of French equallent of CFDA but is more high fashion has announced it’s new members. The new Chambre Syndicale–approved labels are Azzaro, Carven, Damir Doma, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Thimister, Véronique Leroy, and New York's very own and my fav. Zac Posen. [WWD]

Karl Lagerfeld has shown Chanel Cruise 2011-12 Fashion Show in Cannes ,France at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Cap d’Antibes, and again he wowed the world with the kind of elegance and simplicity which is very Chanel.
The collection had beautiful dream like bias cut gowns, palazzo pants, blowing robes and black and white Maillots. Refreshing eyecandisque colours with fuzz free relexed silhouettes and rest was all Chic very French very Chanel.

Galliano is Finally Out From Dior


The rumours have been conformed; the House of Dior has just announced that they have fired their creative director,. The British designer had been suspended by the company after he was questioned and released by police Thursday for allegedly making anti-Semitic and anti-Asian statements to a woman and man in Paris' La Perle restaurant and threatening to kill the man. Prosecutors and police said Friday that Galliano's blood alcohol levels were high.

It seems like they wanted him to be out from a long time. He has joined The House Dior back in 1997 after spending a year at Givenchy. Galliano is a designer’s designer let’s see who is going to replace him at Dior.Vogue.co.uk posted the following updates on March 1

Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman said of Galliano's dismissal this afternoon: "I think John Galliano made a terrible mistake and such offensive behaviour could not be ignored. It is all the same true that he has a huge talent and has contributed enormously to the resurrection of the house of Dior. Who can predict what the future will bring?"

Manish Arora the New Creative Director of Paco Rabanne


The rumor has been confirmed:PACO RABANNE has announced Manish Arora as the new creative director of its womenswear collection (RTW).The company has not shown a ready-to-wear offering since 2006 .

Arora will showcase his first colection for Rabanne in October during Paris Fashion Week — for Spring 2012. He will also continue his colorful signature collection, which is also shown in Paris but sells mostly in his native India.

Rabanne and Arora are both known for their elaborate and avant-garde creations. Lets see how Arora is going to take the Rabanne legacy further.
